Here at P&O Ferries we continue to grow, and we are looking for a Head of Accounting and Reporting to join our finance department. This role will be based at our Dover office but you may have to attend meetings in Woking, at our brand new satellite office as and when so a degree of flexibility is required.
In this role you will manage a number of direct reports as well as lead their performance and development. As a member of the Senior Finance Team you will work closely with a number of our leadership team including Head of Financial Services, Head of Performance and Head of Commercial Finance. You will lead on all internal and external financial accounting as well as lead on reporting to DP World Finance.

Location – Dover
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for day-to-day administration for CODA and reporting systems for the whole finance department
- Responsible for multi-currency cash management, reporting and forecasting to ensure liquidity, bank covenant compliance and reporting.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness and timelines of all direct and non-direct Tax submissions and other government returns including tonnage tax, corporation tax etc
- Coordination of the development, implementation and operation of CODA and Cognos reporting throughout the finance department to deliver improved reporting.
- Management of P&O Ferries annual financial reporting process, liaison with internal and external audit teams
Key skills and experience:
- ACCA/ACA qualified – extensive knowledge of UKGAAP & IFRS
- Able to communicate and work at a senior level within a large, complex organisation.
- Able to effectively lead a team and develop their skills and competencies.
- Demonstrable experience in financial systems development and implementation
- Desirable – experience in an audit role at management level
- Desirable – experience of working in a multinational and multicurrency organisation.
- Desirable – experience in financial systems development and implementation specifically CODA, Cognos and Oracle
