Working in a small team and reporting into the owner you will be a key part of an effective finance team. Unlike other businesses who limit themselves with hierarchy and bureaucracy, you will be encouraged to build relationship with key stakeholders inside and outside the business.
We will be looking for you to:
- Preparation of period end management accounts, including prepayments, depreciation, accruals and posting journals.
- Ownership of producing P&L with variance analysis and commentary.
- Processing payroll (with support from third party payroll bureau)
- Effectively control credit and chase payments when necessary and perform invoice finance reconciliations
- Manage cash flow.
- Build and maintain relationships with the banks and invoice finance lenders.
- Manage inbound queries from suppliers, perform statement reconciliations, resolve queries and be proactive in providing solutions.
- Nurture and support the professional development of accounts assistant
- Prepare budgets and forecasts.
- Build relationships within the business and with key suppliers.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and be an asset to the team.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Proficiency in Excel, Knowledge and experience of Management accounts
- Excellent attention to details, Strong communication skills, Work on your own initiative
- Team player, Highly numerate and analytical
- Job Type: Full-time; Office Based
- Salary: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year. Company pension.
Experience:
- Ideally Min 5 years accounting experience in a small to medium size business
- Accounting: 2 years (preferred)
