Assurance Senior

Marcum LLP is actively looking for Assurance Seniors to join our growing and well-established national firm in our New Haven, CT office. The position requires high-energy, experienced audit professional with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
Audit Seniors will become involved with all aspects of the audit practice, and will be working along with the audit staff in performing detailed verification procedures to perform examinations of clients’ financial statements.
Responsibilities
- Fixed asset additions and retirements
- Income and expense analysis
- Analytical review procedures
- Observe physical inventories
- Assist in financial statement preparation
- Prepare and input computer trial balances
- Assist in preparing work paper packages
- Involvement in audit planning
Qualifications
- Candidates must have BS/BBA in Accounting and strong quantitative, analytical and technology capabilities.
- CPA certification or in the process of completion of the CPA exam
- 3+ years independent audit experience in public accounting experience with a diverse industry background
- Strong communication, research, analytical and writing skills
- Proven technical skills with Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience with accounting software, ProSystem FX engagement preferred
- Solid organization skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task positions
- Must have personal vehicle, with flexibility to travel within the CT/MA areas.
- Required to be in the office and/or at client locations at least 3 days per week.
