We are now seeking an experienced Accountant to join our expanding team in what is an exciting time for the organisation as we launch our new platform and continue to grow our client base. This role is based in our Northampton office and comes with a hybrid-working option.

Principal Responsibilities

Reporting to the Financial Controller, but working with the various business teams, you will have a wide range of responsibilities including:

  • Month end performance
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports, including board papers
  • Providing quality, value added commentary and financial analysis
  • Preparing monthly cash flow for the various projects
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Budgeting and forecasting process
  • Involved in all accounting and Year-End audit
  • Reviewing and approving Bank reconciliations and Balance Sheet accounts
  • Deputising for the Financial Controller as required
  • Carrying out other duties that fall within professional expertise

What we require from you:

  • A newly qualified accountant, a finalist, or 1-2 years PQE - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Proven Accounting - Financial &/or Management Accountant experience
  • Advanced MS Excel and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience using Sun and Xero would be advantageous but not essential
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage own workload
