ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a part-qualified accountant who is ambitious, hardworking, and adaptable to change in this newly created role within a growing Finance Team. You’ll be solutions focused, able to identify process improvements and not afraid to challenge the status quo.
You will provide support for the Management Accountant, contributing towards timely delivery of the monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations. You will also assist in the implementation of a new ERP system across the Group, maintain the fixed asset register, produce VAT returns, and perform project and cost administration and analysis.
Salary: £27,000.00 to £30,000.00 dependant on experience.

SUMMARY OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You will:
Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
Posting accruals, prepayments, and other journals
Processing sales orders and setting up new projects on the accounting system
Balance sheet & intercompany reconciliations
Assist with the implementation of a new finance system
Generating quarterly VAT figures
Provide information for the year-end audit
Maintain the fixed assets register and posting monthly depreciation
Analysis of overhead spend
Completing ONS reports
Cover for sales ledger and purchase ledger during holiday periods

Part-qualified accountant
Previous experience in a similar role
Proficient in Excel
Ability to work as part of a team
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Good organisation skills
