HCS is one of Canada’s largest and fastest-growing coffee Equipment and Coffee/Tea retailers, with an office and showroom location in Toronto. We’re looking for a new team member who loves coffee, is personable, organized, reliable, and someone who is excited to learn about and represent the world of third-wave specialty coffee.
This role will be involved with the day-to-day operations of our e-commerce and retail location - assisting with full cycle accounting as well as some customer service when needed on the phone and in person. You will be the key player in our vendor relationships helping to place orders, and keep the team updated on statuses. You will be entering invoices, double checking packing slips and ensuring we receive everything we pay for!
Responsibilities
- Learning product lineup of espresso machines, coffee makers, and coffee to become a resident product expert
- Take/make phone calls to assist with both purchasing decisions and assistance with existing orders
- Correspond with customers and vendors via email, phone, live chat, and in-person
- Troubleshooting and de-escalating customer issues
- Working closely with Shopify for customer orders and product needs
Requirements
- Experience with Quickbooks online is a must
- A love of coffee or strong will to learn more about the world of coffee
- Strong organizational abilities and ability to multi-task
- Positive attitude, strong worth ethic, and comfortable working in a very fast-paced environment
- High proficiency in the English language for both written and oral communication
- Ability to work independently and complete deadlines in a timely fashion
- Confident and social with a personable attitude
- Curious with the will to learn and grow
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with reprioritization
Nice-to-haves / Assets
- Proficiency in French ( if possible /not a requirement)
- Comfortable presenting in front of people
- Prior experience with the Shopify e-commerce platform

Salary: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
