Job description
The accounting coordinator’s responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, uploading data into accounting system, assisting with audit preparation, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
The accounting coordinator should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Possessing strong Excel skills, being detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision are key.

- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
- Ability to train and lead team members.
- Ability to work with little to no supervision.
SECTION 3: PROPOSED ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Bookkeeping
- Using bookkeeping software and entering information into company files or databases, ensuring that all financial records are complete and accurate.
- Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
- Making journal or ledger entries.
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Implementing and enforcing financial and inventory controls.
- Experience processing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assisting with annual audit preparations.
- Reporting and Budgeting
- Preparing weekly, monthly, and yearly financial reports
- Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets
- Other
- Performing other accounting duties as required or assigned.
- Working with various software applications (Square, Shopify, and others as needed).
SECTION 4: EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
