Job Summary/Basic Functions

Eastern Kentucky University is now accepting applications to establish a pool of qualified applicants for the 2023-2024 academic year Online Facilitators in the discipline of General Business. A course facilitator will serve to assist the Instructor of Record (IOR) for a course.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field of study from an AACSB-accredited institution

Or

• Completion of 18 graduate hours in the discipline from an AACSB-accredited institution

Licensure & Certifications: Discipline-Specific

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Master's degree in General Business from an AACSB-accredited institution.
  
• Professional licensure or certification.
  
• Professional experience in the field of General Business.
  
• Online teaching experience.
  
  Job Duties:
  
  • To lead and help maintain student discussion groups, as assigned. (Note: Facilitators are each assigned three groups of students with ____ members in each group.)
  • To provide assessment of individual student group discussion participation and assign grades for each student in a timely manner (usually by the Saturday night of each week).
  • To grade all assignments of students in their respective groups (discussions, written unit assignments, and speeches) and submit those grades in the online Bb grade book.
  • To communicate with IOR any issues, potential problems, or suggestions for improvement as the course unfolds.
  
  Sponsorship: Visa sponsorship will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the needs of the unit, available sponsorship budget, and the qualifications of the candidate.
