Summary
As a Senior Accountant, you’ll support our growing Finance team in performing month-end close activities and preparing financial statements. The Senior Accountant will record journal entries, perform account reconciliations, create proper documentation, assist with audit preparations and other accounting duties as assigned. The Senior Accountant will have solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and will be a team player with strong excel skills. The successful candidate will be someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized and excited to go above and beyond to make month-end processes efficient.

This role is FULLY REMOTE! No sponsorship provided to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• 
  Prepare month-end journal entries and related support documentation.
• Oversee AP/AR process prepared by the AP/AR Specialist.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Partner with other business units to support company-wide initiatives and maintain proper accounting documentation and procedures.
• Assist with annual audit preparations.
• Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs and procedures.
• Performing other accounting duties as required or assigned

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2-4 years of accounting experience
• Prior Big 4 experience and/or CPA preferred
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Strong Excel skills and comfortable with large data volume
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with large ERP accounting systems, NetSuite, Tipalti, Stripe or equivalent Revenue Recognition systems is a plus
• Experience with SaaS industry preferred
• Extra credit: Passion for music and desire to support independent musicians
