Summary
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Finance organization within a hybrid work setting. We are looking for an Accountant to join our Cenex Zip Trip accounting team. Zip Trip is our Energy retail convenience store and truck stop business, based in Spokane, WA. The Accountant will execute accounting responsibilities for the retail operations, including store audit, and activities supporting the financial close and reporting for the operations. This accountant will report to the Accounting Manager for Zip Trip.
This position will preferably be based in Spokane, WA, but remote applicants will also be considered.

Responsibilities
- Help ensure that financial reports are completed on time, in accordance with GAAP principles, and that they accurately reflect financial position.
- Complete assigned daily ledger entries and other financial transactions in accordance with Accounting principles to ensure the general ledger is accurate and up-to-date.
- Collect and compile simple financial information and assist senior accountants with the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports and Accounting statements for senior management.
- Other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field
- Knowledge of Finance and/or Accounting
Additional Qualifications
- Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Knowledge of modern accounting and office methods and procedures
- Must possess a solid foundation in accounting fundamentals
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others to obtain, share, verify and validate information
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
