Treasury (Exchequer) Accountant
Grade H: £32,909 - £36,298 per annum (pay award pending)

The post holder will be responsible for managing the staff and operations of the Exchequer for Cannock Chase District Council and Stafford Borough Council including:
- Treasury management
- Income management
- Creditors
- Debtors
- VAT
The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring that all functions within the exchequer run efficiently and that the staff within the team are supported and motivated.
You should be a qualified member of the AAT or be able to demonstrate equivalent work experience as well as being a being a part qualified accountant.
In addition, you will have IT skills sufficient to create and amend documents using Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel. You will also need to have a high level of personal organisation skills.
Ideally you will also have:
- Knowledge of Exchequer services, processes and objectives.
- Experience in Treasury management and understanding of processes and risks.
- Experience of managing and supporting staff across a diverse range of roles.
