The role
This role supports the key objectives of the Syndicate Finance Department to delivery accurate, meaningful and timely financial information for Lloyd’s entities within the Aspen group in accordance with agreed standards and
deadlines.

Key accountabilities
Strategy and Planning
- Ensure that internal timetables are monitored and updated as
and when tasks are completed. - Review instructions and proformas from Lloyd’s to ensure
changes are notified and then implemented, where necessary. - Ensure tasks are completed on time and to a high degree of accuracy
- Alignment, and engagement of team to tactical goal
- Relevancy, accuracy, and timeliness of contribution/advice
- Priorities aligned to tactical and wider strategic plans
Policy, Process and Procedures
- Production of all Statutory Accounts for Lloyd’s, AUKSSL and
APJ entities. - Assist in the production of Regulatory returns for Lloyd’s
including quarterly UKGAAP returns as well as Solvency II
submissions. - Assist in production of consolidation reporting to Group
- Assist in the production of entity management information for submission to Group team.
- Share in the daily review and overview of journals posted by GENPACT, our offshore accounts team.
- To ensure no errors in completion of returns
- To highlight areas for further review / approval
- To respond on a timely basis when reviewing offshored transactions posted by the GENPACT team
Skills & experience
Knowledge:
- A thirst to continue developing knowledge of London Market Insurance
Companies - Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages – Word, Excel, Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
- Good at building relationships internally and externally
Skills & Experience
- High attention to detail
- Good analytical skills
- ACA/ACCA Qualified
- Graduat
- 2+ years post qualification experience at a “Big Four” entity or equivalent is essential with a focus on Financial Statement audit.
- Previous experience in the production of UKGAAP Financial Statements is extremely desirable.
- Lloyd’s industry experience beneficial but not required.
