Job Summary
The Accountant prepares, analyzes and reviews financial statements using accounting principles in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and enterprise allocation methods.
Requirements
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. If degree is in Finance, successful completion of Intermediate Accounting I & II required.
EXPERIENCE
Prior accounting experience desirable.

Responsibilities
Assists with financial reporting audits, working with the internal audits, Arkansas Insurance Department, independent auditors, and/or Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association., May assists in special projects, as directed., May be required to analyze and review financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and compliance., Other duties as assigned., Performs general accounting functions, including but not limited to preparation of journal entries, coding of invoices, accounting analysis and reconciliation., Prepares supporting financial data as required., Reconciles, confirms and maintains general ledger accounts.
