We are looking for an Interim Management Accountant to join our high performing finance team to support the continued growth of the business and transition to a new accounting system. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play an integral role in delivering key management information and analysis and supporting the accounts payable and receivable functions. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and experience in providing high quality management information.
You will already have a good understanding of finance processes and controls and will be a proactive, technically strong individual, with previous experience in a similar role. As this is very much a hands-on role, you will quickly adapt to your new team and the business and will thrive working in a fast-paced environment.
Key focus areas of your role will be:
- Supporting the preparation of the group’s monthly management accounts, associated commentary and variance analysis
- Supporting the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting our accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and payments
- Assist with preparation for our year-end audit
- Assist with ad hoc project work as required by the business
Qualification, skills and experience
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Experience of reporting within a large company or plc environment desirable
- Good understanding of IFRS frameworks
- Strong analytical skills
- Logical mindset; able to solve problems with an ‘eye for detail’
- Excellent communication skills and ability to summarise information effectively
- Organisation and time management skills with ability to prioritise
- Ability to work to tight reporting deadlines
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
