The primary duties are:
- Supervises the activities of the staff in the preparation of financial reports, financial analysis, and financial explanatory reports/write-ups, operating under strict deadlines.
- Coordinate the preparation of the Financial Update Meeting Materials (FUM). This position meets with Operational Management to determine underlying explanations between budgeted and prior year expense levels.
- Review Board of Directors Financial Statements and Chief Financial Officer Board Script, insuring that both are accurate.
- Controls the monthly closing process to insure that all standard journal entries and interfaces are made in support of the financial statements for all entities under the responsibility of this position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Four years of experience in an automated accounting environment with at least one year in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency in the use PC worksheet applications, word process applications, and data base related programs (e.g. Excel, Word, AmiPro, Access, MS Office, etc.)
