Position Summary: The Online Student Accounts Representative for the Pampell Online Division of Houston Christian University is crucial in ensuring efficient management of student accounts and providing exceptional customer service to online students. This position serves as students' primary point of contact regarding their financial accounts, payments, and related inquiries. The Student Accounts Representative works closely with various university departments, including the Office of Financial Aid, Registrar's Office, and Academic Advising, to ensure accurate and timely processing of student accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student accounts for online students.
- Monitor student account balances, charges, and payments to ensure accuracy.
- Address student inquiries regarding billing, payment plans, and financial obligations.
- Collaborate with the Office of Financial Aid to verify financial aid disbursements and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the Registrar's Office to ensure accurate enrollment and course-related charges.
- Provide exceptional customer service to online students through various communication channels (phone, email, chat).
- Assist students with account-related inquiries, including billing, payment options, and financial holds.
- Communicate university policies and procedures related to student accounts effectively.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of student account management processes and systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Student Services department to ensure a seamless student experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, etc.) or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
- Experience working in student accounts or a related financial/customer service role in an academic institution is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Proficiency in using student information systems, databases, and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
