The Role
Toaster is looking to expand their Finance team with a new Accounts Assistant to help with the day-to-day tasks of the global finance function. The Accounts Assistant will report into the Global Financial Controller and play a key part in the smooth running of business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Processing of supplier invoices into Xero, correctly booking the relevant taxes where applicable
- Making payment for supplier invoices and staff expenses for all 4 entities on the weekly payment run when they fall due, along with any ad-hoc payments that arise.
- Perform daily multi-currency bank reconciliations for all accounts across all 4 entities and ensure all monthly bank statements are uploaded to the relevant Drive folders as part of the wider month end process.
- Updating the global 12 week cash flow forecast with recent bank transactions and upcoming payments, advising of any potential intercompany transfer that are required.
- Intercompany account (balance sheet) reconciliation and journal posting as part of the month end process.
- Weekly aged creditors reporting, notifying the Global FC of any overdue invoices and liaising with the relevant region for credit control.
- Reconciliation of Spendesk. Ensuring all receipts have been uploaded by the purchasers, all costs are correctly coded with applicable VAT and exporting of payment expenses to Xero.
- Also ensure the platform has adequate funds and update the CFF and make bank transfers accordingly.
- Other ad-hoc tasks may arise to help support the finance team/business.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience in a finance position or a recent finance qualification
- Experience working with multi currency accounts.
- Experience of working with Xero and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs etc) is desirable.
- Ability to work positively and proactively with a desire to learn
