We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Accounts Assistant to join a fantastic local charity, based in Sutton, Macclesfield.
You will be working for a well-established charity that supports adults with learning disabilities. We will provide full training and support to help you maximise your potential whilst studying for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification.
Key duties include:
- Bookkeeping & double entry
- Control account reconciliations
· Cash Handling and management
· Use of accountancy software (Sage 50 Accounts) & excel spreadsheets
· Assistance with preparation of monthly/quarterly or annual accounts
· Participate in external and internal communications over the telephone and via email
Skills required:
You should have a good understanding of Excel, Word, and Outlook. Be numerate and demonstrate developing people skills; previous experience within a customer service environment would be an advantage.
Personal qualities required: You should be well presented with a pleasant and polite manner conducive to a professional environment; ability to communicate effectively at all levels; proactive, confident, and enthusiastic with an aptitude and eagerness to learn new skills.
Full-time, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week, with one study release day to attend college.
Office Hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm with 30 minutes for lunch – 7.5 hours per day.
