North East Truck and Driver are recruiting for permanent Experienced Accounts Assistant for a client in the Newcastle area. You will be required to work 24-30 hours per week, 2 days must be a Thursday and Friday although the other day(s) are negotiable.
We are looking to recruit an exceptional individual to join the team.
The successful candidate will be able to: –
Use Sage 50 Accounts
Reconcile bank accounts/credit cards daily
Deal with petty cash
Process monthly purchase invoices and sales invoices/credit notes in Sage
Create monthly Palletways self-bill invoices and prepayment invoices
Check/update yearly contract invoices
Enter cheque payments
Complete contra entries, monthly journeys and prepayments
Enter daily updates received from Credit Safe, Direct Debits and misc.
payments/receipts from bank statements
Transfer monthly rent to holdings and enter on Excel spreadsheet
Answer customer queries regarding POD’s and invoices
Send and process customer credit account applications
Make supplier payments
Update vehicle files/payment spreadsheet
Chase outstanding payments
Complete weekly payroll
Deal with adhoc emails/letters
Prepare quarterly VAT return and make payments
Prepare year end and send any information to accountants
