Job description
The Albex Group (Kent Foods Limited) are currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join our team in Paisley.
What you'll do:
As an Accounts Assistant, you will work as part in support of our Group Management Accountant to provide support to the assigned group companies and prepare financial and management accounting information for these, you would ensure that customer and supplier accounts are accurate; receiving; processing and filing paperwork; managing petty cash transactions where required.
Responsibilities:
- Overlooking the money that comes into and goes out of the company
- Making sure that customer and supplier accounts are accurate (reconciling)
- Receiving, processing and filing paperwork, e.g. invoices, expenses, requests for payment
- Checking/verifying calculations to make sure they’re correct
- Processing payments
- Inputting information into a computer-based accounts system
- Keeping track of figures by working with spreadsheets
- Managing petty cash transactions
Essential Skills and Experience Required:
- A proactive, results-driven and well-organised finance professional who is able to manage a busy workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant experience, or qualified by experience in a similar role.
- Solid experience in the use of financial ERP systems.
- Excellent computer literacy skills including MS Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good attention to detail.
