Job description

Gypsum Limited is a successful and busy Drylining & Plastering Specialist who are looking for a highly organised and efficient Accounts Assistant to work alongside the Financial Director.

This is a diverse role that would suit a motivated and adaptable individual. The role is predominantly accounts/bookkeeping with administrator duties, making each day different. You will be joining a small friendly and kind team.

Account Duties: (not limited to)

  • CIS subcontractor processing - verification, invoices, payments & monthly returns
  • Processing invoices, receipts & income
  • Monthly supplier statement reconciliations & payments
  • Bank account reconciliations
  • Monthly VAT returns & Year End preparation
  • Monthly Payroll processing
  • Additional bookkeeping duties as designated by management

Office Administration Duties: (not limited to)

  • Health & Safety record management
  • Training recording & organising
  • Arranging annual fleet insurances, vehicle servicing & MOT's
  • Providing administrative and clerical support to the team when required

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience of Sage Line 50 and Excel
  • Bookkeeping/Accounting experience required
  • Good knowledge and understanding of VAT
  • A basic understanding of Payroll and CIS is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organised and efficient
  • Good at multitasking, prioritising & time keeping
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Salary:

Negotiable – based upon experience
