Accounts Receivable Clerk
Job Title: AP/AR Clerk
SUMMARY:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.
1. Responsible for reconciling and posting payments, credit card submission, maintaining vendor relations, and assisting with billing and invoicing.
2. Responsible for guest inquiries.
3. Reconciles purchase orders with appropriate packing slips/invoices after goods are received.
4. Ensures timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers and maintains accurate records and control reports.
5. Responsible for preparing accounts payable register and related reports.
6. Assists with the resolution of all discrepancies.
7. Reviews all documentation to ensure accuracy.
8. Reports any discrepancies to the Assistant Financial Controller.
9. Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for assisting with mail room coverage.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma. Must have legible handwriting.
2. Must be able to work on own, without constant supervision. Ability to operate adding machine/calculator and computer terminal.
3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and telephone protocol. Computer literate with emphasis on Word and Excel. Ability to learn new software applications. Position requires attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. This is normally acquired through a combination of a high school diploma or equivalent and two to four years of AP/AR experience.
4. Must be 21 years of age and be able to obtain all local, state and federal regulatory permits as required by position. Must be in possession of a valid Nevada driver's license with a good, clean driving record.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal to an office environment. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds. Must work calmly and under stress when the volume of business increases.

Education
