Areas of responsibility and brief description
1.Prepare the annual marketing Plan (proposed way forward) in alignment to Tourism Boards Strategy
2.Ensure achievement of monthly / quarterly / annual targets and objectives defined for the Tourism Board
3.Analyse business needs to identify new opportunities over and above the present core businesses
4.Develop new business relationships, generate and negotiate new income sources
5.Strategize with regards to alliances/partners to increase the brand awareness for the Tourism Board
6.Identify alliances/partners keeping in mind the opportunities at hand
7.Drive bid/tender documentation with other department’s stakeholders (each COO to decide on this)
8.Efficiently Manage the sales process: Lead generation; credentials pitch; asking questions; solution pitch; negotiation; close; handover to the Tourism Board
9.In addition to the above the account head will also be responsible for the below:
- Complete responsibility of managing day to day activities for Tourism board
- The Account Manager will set comprehensive goals for performance and growth, oversee daily operations of the account and manage the team along with coordination for Marketing, Sales, PR and Finance etc
- Training and hand-holding trade - Identifying tour operators and travel agents pan India having the potential to promote the destination, creating training modules and imparting them.
- Plan and execute innovative marketing strategies, joint promotions with agents. Solicit participation from private sector partners in promoting the destination
- Complete coordination with all departments at HO, discuss strategies, budgets, growth chart, connect with Tourism Boards on MICE and Corporate movements, incentive programs and also monitoring and motivating agents to achieve given targets and deliverables
- Ensuring the percentage growth, analyzing and interpreting data, expansion plans, supporting partners from Tourism Board and from India
10.Ensure continuous and sustained business development effort which would help in enhancing the Company profile and Brand image
11. Build and maintain business relations with client Tourism Boards/Ministries (Existing and New)
12. Identifying new business opportunity for growth of business.
13. Monitor competition and identify effective ways to keep VFS Global’s service offerings unique in the competitive space
14. Patent and Copyrighting
15. Identify opportunities for growth of business for Tourism Services/Value Added Services business
Qualification & Experience
Education: Minimum: Masters in Business Administration/Marketing or Global equivalent
Experience: Minimum 5 – 8 years of relevant work experience. Experience in large bids/tenders responses with basic presentation skills
Knowledge & Key Skills:
· Pro-active self-starter with ability operate both individually and as part of a team
· Good Business Acumen
· Excellent negotiation skills, positioning, business justification and closing skills
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Salary: £48,000.00 per year
