Job description

Canon UK have an exciting new role to join the very succesful Professional Print sales organisation as a Junior Account Manager, you will receive excellent training and guidance provided by the senior account managers. This is also a field based role and you will:

  • Development of sales pipeline utilising all available sales generation techniques.
  • Following up with prospects several times throughout the sales cycle to ensure needs are being met.
  • Presenting and demonstrating the value of products and services to prospective organisations.
  • Compiling and analysing data to find trends.
  • Developing sales strategies and achieving targets.
  • Staying current on company offerings and industry trends.
  • Maintaining a database of contact and sales pipeline information (SFDC).
  • Building long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal departments to create a better customer experience.
  • Drive activity and profitable new business.
  • Collaboration with National Sales Manager and supporting Senior Account Manager on potential large deal projects.

Increase penetration of Canon and its services into the marketplace providing activities around both acquisition and retention of accounts.

What we ask

  • Achieve revenue growth, profitability targets and units growth
  • Achieve KPIs agreed by Sales Management team to drive profitable business generation targets
  • Work with the Sales Management to develop and run customer and marketing events when / where appropriate
  • Keep abreast of new products and services within Canon, understanding the benefits they could potentially deliver to new or existing customers
  • Maintain accurate record of past and future activities, contacts and any relevant information within Salesforce.com
  • Work with Sales Management to plan, target and execute Vertical / Channel specific strategic sales incentives
  • Timely submission of reports, expenses and other administrative tasks appropriate to the role and in accordance with Channel standards.
  • Co-ordinate and engage with relevant internal or 3rd party stakeholders or support teams to support the customer and drive the business toward its objectives
  • Generate sales pipeline and increase sales revenue for Canon within defined territory.
  • Generate suspects/prospects and manage customer activity
  • On an ongoing basis, fully utilise all sales tools relevant to the individual accounts
  • Co-ordinate and collaboration with internal virtual teams and sales managers to support the needs of the customer / Canon and to drive business
  • Act on requests from internal stakeholders and departments in order to support Canon’s strategy and business needs (eg MIF management, Market share growth, cash collections, marketing)
  • Provide Regular account and activity updates to the Sales Manager
  • Provide accurate forecasting and strong opportunity/pipeline management in SFDC
  • Drive the MPS and Solution/Service offerings into the defined vertical accounts
