The role
To contribute to the overall delivery of the Schools team commercial targets by managing a designated number accounts to achieve individual revenue goals and activity targets. Effectively manage the customer base and product mix across existing business and develop and convert new business opportunities.
A typical week as an Account Manager might involve -
- Identify and contact new customers through dedicated prospecting time using sources such as LinkedIn and industry publications
- Achieve individual sales revenue and activity targets
- Responsibility for retaining and maintaining business and growing the area
- To manage the customer base to deliver first class account management with regular and timely review meetings and feedback to your team and Management.
- An ability to present to large groups when needed
- To ensure that all accounts have a clear understanding of Rightmove products and pricing structure and to deliver value-added solutions against their business needs
- To liaise with internal support functions such as Customer Services and Finance to ensure smooth management of the billing & administration process for your customer base, plus the provision of any supporting sales reports
- To interpret data and information in review meetings with customers enabling them to better understand their business and market/s
- To manage the day-to-day relationships with external parties in support of company objectives and policy
- To drive the satisfactory resolution of customer queries and disputes, e.g. in relation to aged debt and invoice queries.
- To be a positive role model and ambassador of Rightmove company values and behaviours
- To take responsibility for self-development to support the achievement of personal objectives while being part of a team
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within the schools sector
- Actively participate in on-going training (you always want to be better)
- To maintain a CRM database of your customers
- Meetings with customers will mostly be virtual, but there will be opportunities to meet customers in-person
- Travel to London, Newcastle or Milton Keynes to attend monthly team meeting
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in successfully prospecting, building and delivering growth from a new customer base
- Experience in a business development role
- Wants to work in a start-up type environment
- Is motivated to identify challenges and work with teams across the business to find ways to continually improve performance
- Is excited about the opportunity to build Rightmove’s schools business
- Is able to build strong relationships with decision makers in our customers’ business
- Structured, disciplined, energetic, committed to individual and group
