- The trainee level will undertake a more structured and guided training path to become a fully-fledged Account Manager.
- Contracted training over 2-3 months in which you will gain understanding of oilseeds processing, the commodity markets, the products we supply and our business – including Olenex.
- Manage and develop a portfolio of Sales Accounts within the business. Maintain strong relationships with customers across multiple levels/departments.
- Identify new sales and business development opportunities. This will be a project and is part of an ADM global initiative ‘Readiness’. You will be responsible for driving this initiative with the support of the wider team and management.
- New Business Development - Build and develop deep market understanding and map market sectors. Ability to identify gaps and trends to match product portfolio with customer demand.
- Develop new concepts in conjunction with the technical team to meet customer requirements. Be involved in new product development
- Maintain appropriate understanding of the products and processes in the Oils and Fats Industry. Keep abreast of developments with contaminant legislation in Europe.
- To analyse market trends and opportunities in the Oils & Fats Industry.
- To generate market reports to share with customers to assist with key buying decisions.
- To work with Account Managers to help respond to key company objectives by account, product or marketing activity on behalf of the business.
- Analyse commodity markets, and communicate effectively with customers about the appropriate markets
- Process, manage and maintain contract data and information within company systems
- Attend and lead team meetings and stimulate progressive thoughts/activity.
- Liaise with other departments to meet company objectives. Work closely with customer service to execute contracts.
- Represent the company externally whether visiting customers, industry events or international travel to other locations
- Continuously review company performance (internal and external) and suggest & implement improvements through systems, process or other.
- Provide regular updates to traders in different offices to effectively manage hedge and position risk to ADM.
- Degree in a related subject or relevant trade qualifications.
- Ability to travel around UK including overnight trips. May be a requirement on occasion for International travel.
- 5 years’ experience in a sales/trading environment, preferably in the food processing industry and or commodity area. Minimum of 1 years relevant experience if joining as a trainee.
- New business development experience essential. Desirable at trainee level.
