Regional Account Manager – South

We currently have an exciting vacancy for a field based National Account Manager Commercial – South on a permanent contract . We are looking for someone who has experience managing client accounts at a regional level and developing relationships with customers. Alternatively we would consider someone who is at the beginning of their sales career and looking to grow – someone who is ambitions and has energy to succeed.

Ideally coming from the laminates and/or Interior products industry.

SALARY: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum + great benefits + co car or allowance.

LOCATION: Remote.This is a field-based role, and you will focus on visiting clients within the South / South East England region and be happy to travel nationally if required.

JOB OVERVIEW

Working as the Regional Account Manager, you will have a clear focus on growth within commercial sales and generating new business, as well as effectively managing and achieving sales growth across the customer base, in line with business objectives and overall company guidelines.

As the Regional Account Manager, you will maximise all potential opportunities for new product listings and capturing competitor business. Define and action effective account development plans that deliver sustainable growth by effective category management and ensure that the company is recognised as a market leading supplier and is established as the preferred supplier to its customer base.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Regional Account Manager include:

  • Drive SKU profitability, promotional profitability and overall account profitability
  • Deliver incremental sales through new product listings, promotions plans, secondary location and category management
  • Cost control and monitoring of personal expenditure
  • Identify new business and new product opportunities
  • Own an account plan that drives strategy for a rolling 3 year period
  • Manage ranges in accounts to ensure stocking levels and the product offer are in line with the company and the accounts strategy
  • Ensure account contracts are legally binding and up to date
  • Communicate promotion plans and range review plans to all company stakeholders
  • Negotiate range pricing and promotional deals your Accounts
  • Maintain high levels of awareness of market and competitor activity, customer trends and provide team members with this feedback
  • Maintain a database of account information containing: product range and pricing & margins
  • Monitor internal procedures to provide best possible customer service to Accounts and their customers via the Customer Service and Aftersales Team
  • Effectively manage your time to deliver the desired performance
  • Continually develop in depth technical knowledge of product and marketplace
  • Gain maximum account penetration and distribution of new products
  • Build and lever horizontal & vertical customer relationships
  • The role involves national travel on a daily basis with expectations of being away overnight on occasions

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience to manage at a regional account level, involving the handling of senior account relationships – experienced buyers/sales managers
  • Intelligent thinker, strategic planner, focussed and priority driven
  • Excellent personal negotiation / selling skills
  • Strong motivation to achieve, well organised and structured approach
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation and selling skills – promotes and sells persuasively
  • P.C Literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good presentation skills
  • Effective communicator both internal and external to Wilsonart
  • Analytical
  • Ability to make sound commercial decisions
  • Ability to think strategically
  • An understanding of marketing principles and an ability to understand and interpret market analysis
