Job Overview:
As the Accounts and Audit Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing exceptional accounting and audit services. You will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of skilled professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial advice and guidance to clients. This role will require a strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and audit procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of accountants and auditors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant accounting standards.
- Conduct and supervise audits for clients, identifying areas for improvement and offering insightful recommendations.
- Provide expert guidance on complex accounting and tax matters, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and tailoring solutions to meet their objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, changes in accounting regulations, and best practices to enhance service offerings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is essential.
- Proven experience in a managerial or senior supervisory role within an accountancy practice.
- Sound knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, tax planning, and compliance matters.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
