Job description

Job objectives and responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the delivery of hard services at Stansted Airport including the completion of reactive tasks and PPM's in-line with KPI'sTo comply with NEC3 by the active management of communications via MAG CEMAR system
  • Budget / P&L owner for all hard services activities and commercial management, including contract variations & development
  • Customer focused person with confidence in their skills and ability
  • Provide monthly contractual and financial reporting and attend all contractual meetings
  • Responsible for delivery of contractual engineering duties
  • Encourage a strong team spirit
  • Effective resource and performance management - subcontractor and self delivery
  • Overall responsibility for health & safety culture, procedures and compliance, ensuring H&S and site rules are adhered to at all times
  • Line Manage the Site Supervisor and Senior Administrator, supporting on-going development, training and continuous improvement of the maintenance and on-site helpdesk teams.
  • Provide a speedy and competent response in emergency situations
  • Ensure all compliance related activities and completed and accurately documented in contract log books, making available at all times for customer review.

Main duties

  • Technical Lead for the Contract
  • Ensure jobs are completed to a required standard and meeting contractual SLA's
  • Ensure all PPM's are completed within month and remedial issues are raised, recorded and remedied.
  • Ensure site process and site rules are followed by all at all times
  • Raise health and safety concerns to customer team, working in partnership to promote safe and compliant environment.
  • Responsible for effective WIP management.
  • Management of monthly application for payment submission to MAG customer.
  • Oversee management of all day to day customer requests.
  • Maintaining standards to show all jobs have been logged and closed out in an appropriate timescales; in-line with contractual SLAs.
  • Maintain the site compliance through PPM, reactive and remedial works completion.
  • Analyse and maintain reporting from senior administrator. Daily RW and Weekly PPM.
  • Maintain client and team meeting structure and record minutes appropriately.
  • Ensure contractor permitting is up to date at all times.
  • Ensure RAMS are checked in accordance with site rules.
  • Ensure all letter of autorisation permits are raised and approved where a task requires so.
  • Ensure the site team have had all necessary and appropriate training.
  • Sub-Contractor controls. Managing of sub-contractors attendance inclusive of signing in and out and completion of works.
  • Sub-Contractor Controls – ensure all contractors are inducted to site with records maintained.
  • Management of the airside clearance required to work for Mitie team and Contractors.
  • Ensure that labour resourcing and skills matrix is updated at all times that contains all the relevant contact details for their appropriate area
  • Undertake any additional duties or responsibilities that are deemed required by the business in supporting the daily operation of the contract.
  • Liaise with the organisations operational departments to ensure all stakeholder needs and operational functions are prioritised.
  • Ensure necessary inspections/audits of internal and sub-contracted works etc. are carried out to the relevant standards and records maintained.
  • Compile accurate management information/reporting as required and submit in a timely manner to appropriate stakeholders.

Person Specification

  • 5 Years experience in a similar Contract lead level role is essential
  • Aviation experience is desirable
  • City & Guilds qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential depending on experience
  • Have experience of project delivery, including an awareness of CDM
  • Have experience working within a maintenance focused industry
  • Have experience working within a restricted environment
  • Be highly computer literate and experienced in using Microsoft applications.
  • Show an ability to manage operational finance, i.e. management of WIP, debt and billing

Health and Safety responsibilities

  • Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times;
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment;
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received;
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system;

Information Security

  • Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities;
  • Proactively identify and report security risks to your manager;
  • Report actual and suspected security incidents;
