Mark Thompson Transport are recruiting an Account Manager to join their team at their site in Warrington. The Account Manager will be accountable for the account management of clients within the Primary sector, manage the client relationship and lead organic growth opportunities.

About the job:
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure consistent operational performance and sustained customer service levels and initiate corrective actions and service improvement measures as and when required.
- Build, grow and maintain effective working relationships with client stake holders promoting the primary sector, maintaining client relationships and growing our share of wallet with existing clients.
- Build, grow and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders within both the business and the Group to promote partnership working.
- Lead client annual rate reviews and contract negotiations to ensure all clients are on contracts.
- Support the Managing Director and Senior Account Manager with pricing proposals to gain new work.
- Develop operational solutions alongside the operational team to ensure effective delivery of primary services.
- Lead client review meetings and ensure that the relevant client KPI’s are prepared and shared with the client in line with the required timescales.
- Support the Senior Account Manager and Managing Director with building a strong new business pipeline with existing clients by identifying areas of opportunity within the transport plan and supporting with providing transport rates which offers excellent revenue opportunity and margin growth.
Your knowledge and experience:
- Commercial awareness
- Working knowledge of transport operation systems
- Geography
- Health and Safety regulations
- Relevant logistics experience
- Analysing and solving logistic problems
- Client Relationship Management
- Working towards Certificate of Professional Competence (Domestic &International CPC)
