Account Manager

Account Managers for Futuresource Consulting is an experienced Account Manager responsible overseeing Member Services for research products, data insights, and consulting services to existing clients. In this role, you will work with C-level executives (business and technology leaders) in the Edtech, Audio and Music, Personal Electronics, Home Entertainment industries.

You will engage in a consultative sales approach, to understand the customers highest priority initiatives for renewals and account penetration. You will clearly articulate how FSC can deliver deeper market, technology, and business insights in support of their decision-making processes.

The Futuresource offices are based in St Albans, however considering all candidates located anywhere within the UK. Hybrid/remote working would suit the ideal candidate.

Job Responsibilities Overview

  • Develop sales and growth strategy for your accounts with focus on renewing and up-selling FSC services
  • Increase YOY renewal growth through upsell, cross sell and account penetration by 20%
  • Maintain an appropriate and accurate sales pipeline of adequate size to ensure target quota achievement; maintain pipeline information in CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Proficient understanding of market research industry in (vertical), research methodology, client’s business, and products & services suitable to meet the client’s needs
  • Target and sell to senior management (Director, VP, C-level) in R&D; Business Development; Corporate Venturing; and/or Strategy and M&A; Professors, Esteemed Faculty, Licensing Directors
  • Conducting sales meetings with customers and delivering company sales pitches
  • Onboarding customers and ongoing customer service, including arranging client debriefs on all closed sales
  • Package and sales negotiation
  • International travel to meet with clients when required including attending industry trade shows
  • Assisting with FSC events and industry events as required

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • 2 -4 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience
  • Excellent customer management skills
  • Hunter and farmer mentality required
  • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, ability to create spreadsheets and build presentations
  • Thrives on an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly changing, and customer service-oriented
  • Able to handle multiple priorities while meeting objectives
  • Team player who builds strong, effective partnership
