Delta Telecom Sound & Security Ltd - Manchester, Greater Manchester
Delta Telecom is a family run business based in South Manchester, working across the North West and beyond installing and maintaining various security and communications systems (such as CCTV, door entry, access control and nurse call systems).
We are looking to recruit (for immediate start) a new Accounts Manager to work in our offices in Hazel Grove (Stockport) and join our small but friendly team.
Responsibilities:
Sage Accounts:
· Input Purchase Invoices
· Create new Sales Invoices
· Input Sales Invoices
· Input payments from customers
· Send statements to customers
· Chase overdue invoices
· Input payments to suppliers
· Input Direct Debit payments
· Input VAT/PAYE/NI/Pension/ Corporation Tax payments
· Input journals PAYE/Pensions
· Reconcile all accounts each month end
· Enter prepayment journals
· Produce/update maintenance prepayment schedule
· Petty Cash – Balance in Accounts to reconcile with cash
· Chase any Retention Monies
· Year End Accounts
Bank:
· Record daily balance
· Note any receipts and cross reference with Debtors
· Make payments to creditors end of month
· Reconcile balance monthly with Sage Accounts
Salaries:
· Work out salaries/overtime/standby/call outs
· Upload figures to Accountants
· Prepare new starter records
· Terms of Reference for new starters
Pensions:
· Upload individual monthy payments to NEST (provider)
· Enrol eligible employees and send letters
VAT:
· VAT return quarterly + reconcile
· Upload to HRMC through Absolete VAT Filer
Insurances:
· Fleet Insurance
· Company Liability Insurance
Vehicles:
· Road Tax when due or place on SORN
· Arrange MOT
· Paperwork when buying/selling
· Arrange scrapping
· Fuel Cards
· AA subscription
· New vehicle – Insurance/Tax/AA/Fuel Card
Maintenance Contracts:
· Make Standby Rota for engineers
· Work out new and renewal quotations (in conjunction with colleagues)
Misc: (shared responsibilities)
· ECS Cards and enrol on staff on H&S courses
· DBS Checks
· CHAS/Constructionline/Safecontractor membership renewal forms
· Pasma/IPAF Enrol of course
· Vacancy ads on Indeed etc.
· Arrange Apprenticeship
· Complete forms – Credit Application/Subcontractor/Pre-qualification forms
· Forms to return from Accountant
· Letters/Memos to engineers
· Marking up drawings
· Preparing quotations
Skills:
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices (we use Sage accounting).
- Excellent analytical skills for account analysis and financial statement review
- Attention to detail for accurate account reconciliation and bank reconciliation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in budgeting techniques and forecasting methods (desirable)
- Familiarity with accounts receivable management and collections processes
- Experience with accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling
We are seeking an Accounts Manager who can effectively manage financial accounts.
The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting (ideally Sage), possess excellent analytical skills, and have the ability to communicate financial information.
