Job description

Position:

We are looking for someone with experience to join our team as Client Manager.

The job entails managing interactions and communication with our accounting clients and ensuring that deadlines are met. You will need some experience in producing VAT Returns, production of year end accounts and tax returns plus ensuring that bookkeeping is correctly carried out. We do have a payroll team so knowledge of payroll isn’t essential, but might be useful.

Meeting with clients and explaining accounting and taxation is an integral part of the job so you must feel confident about meeting and talking to people in a professional manner.

We are based in Sileby, near Loughborough, (LE12) and are looking for someone to work 30+ hours a week. Flexible working hours can be accommodated; if you need to work round schools or home life we will understand. The job is primarily office based so please don’t apply if you are based more than about 30 minutes away.

Salary will depend on experience and expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of your specific client relationships including accounting and taxation advice, training, support, and retention.
  • Complete or checking of VAT returns that have been prepared.
  • Preparation of Limited Company accounts and Corporation Tax returns, Sole Trader accounts and Self-assessment tax returns. Accounts and relevant returns for different entity types also.
  • Work with senior management to ensure client satisfaction is met.
  • Advising clients on areas of business improvement.
  • Supervising and training of junior colleagues and trainees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • AAT Level 3 or studying towards level 4 preferred but not essential as we are looking for someone who has the experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in a client facing, accounts setting required.
  • Experience working in a technology environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to build rapport with clients; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to prioritize tasks; ability to multi-task; ability to manage time effectively; strong attention to detail and organization skills.
