Account Manager (Wales & SW)
You’ll be accountable for the creation and development of an account/win plan for all re-sign and growth opportunities. You will also be responsible for retention of the customer base against aggressive market competition, maximising the BT growth story and network benefits. This role will be located in Bristol.
- Develops sustainable, and profitable long-term customer relationships, including effective senior leadership team escalations where appropriate.
- Develops a strong understanding of the customer’s requirements and transformational roadmap.
- Ensures robust account development plans exist for each customer, accurately portraying the competitive landscape and how BT is positioned within it.
- Accountable for customer satisfaction improvements, increasing Net Promoter Score within the account.
- Defines, develops, and owns key customer relationships and customer contact strategy.
- Accountability for the New Sales elements of P&L of the account base, including how resourcing budgets are aligned to win new business with a high degree of autonomy with customer relationships, whilst adhering to BT’s code of practice.
- Conducts customer meetings and dialogue which supports your retention and growth campaign, fronting all commercial & contractual activity, and accurately recording all sales activity on the central CRM system
- Takes responsibility for keeping up to date about the industry and new products/services, so you can sell the current and future benefits of the EE/BT network and value-added services, and deliver commercial sound, complex customer solutions.
- Proven field account management experience in large and complex customer organisations.
- Ideally with experience in negotiating and selling high-value services and contracts in excess of £250,000 contract value and growing an account base revenue line in excess of £3mn per annum.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills with both internal and external partners.
- A high level of commercial acumen.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Open and willing to learn and understand more about BT, your customers, and the market.
