WTW are looking for an Account Executive to join our Government Sector Practice (GSP) in the UK. The GSP provides advisory and transactional services to support public / government sector clients throughout the UK and overseas.
The Role
Ultimately, reporting to the Account Director, the Account Executive will be responsible for servicing a portfolio of clients and prospects with accountability for the retention of clients and identifying opportunities for the wider organisation. The successful candidate will manage and develop client and Willis Towers Watson relationships and grow the portfolio.
- Understand the clients’ needs / requirements and look for solutions to deliver those needs through the provision of ongoing service
- Identify primary budget holders and decision makers within clients, establish and maintain active relationships with these people.
- Provide technical, industry and subject matter expertise where required (nationally in the UK and overseas)
- Draw on expertise within specialist technical teams across the Group for clients as required
- Determine appropriate solutions and strategies that meet the clients’ needs and deliver profitable business for a range of clients
- Grow existing portfolio by identifying new and/or existing opportunities
- Lead and deliver the end-to-end ongoing client service, adhering to standardised policies, procedures and service standards
- Support the BU in accurate budgeting, forecasting and tracking of revenue
- Manage client pricing to ensure each client meets agreed target profitability levels
- Proactively develop appropriate solutions and proposals for clients to ensure optimum client retention rates
- Manage KPIs/SLAs to ensure targets are met
- Ensure adherence to Group policies, procedures and all regulatory requirements
- Supporting the drive of the sales process and business area practice activity in relation to winning, retaining and developing profitable new clients
- Manage compliant processing of contracts as per FCA and contract certainty requirements
- Manage compliant process of public sector contracts in accordance with Public Contract Regulations 2015
We now operate a Hybrid work style which enables you to work from the most appropriate location depending on what you have to do that day. We really enjoy our time in the office meeting clients and catching up with colleagues, but we also appreciate the days we choose to stay at home and work in a comfortable, quiet environment without that commute.
- Preferably working towards Dip CII or similar qualification
- Proven track record of delivering high levels of client service and broking
- Ability to service “volume” business
- Experienced knowledge of insurance and insurance markets in order to deal effectively with client and Willis Towers Watson needs.
- Experienced knowledge of public sector procurement obligations in order to deal effectively with client and Willis Towers Watson needs preferred but not essential
- Skilled at building effective relationships, at all levels, with clients, prospects, associates, insurers and external specialists
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing sills
- Experience of working with and adhering to processes and systems to support client service delivery
