Position Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an Account Executive to join the Global Sales Support Team, based at South Shields. Both full-time and part-time opportunities available. This role will be key role in providing world class support to all of Barbour’s Wholesale Customers and Global Distributors and is vital for achieving on time, in full deliveries of the forward order books and special collections. You will also provide a support service to the sales teams and help the business grow by achieving incremental sales while operating in line with business objectives and the Barbour Values.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Achieve the sales budgets and targets by achieving on time, in full delivery of forward orders.
- Monitor the forward order book for accuracy and work with supply chain and the warehouse to deliver product to the customer on time.
- Maintain a tidy order book with order cancellations to be up to date each month. No orders should remain on the system for longer than 3 months.
- Provide a weekly report on the status of your order book to Global Sales Support Manager
- Understand your customer processes, delivery windows, warehouse procedures and cancellation policies
- Provide customers and account managers with regular sales order reporting
- Provide direct sales support to the Global Account Managers and sales teams.
- Achieve the incremental sales target by understanding your customers and what they sell, working with them to identify best sellers and to obtain repeat orders.
- Attend trade calls with your customers & account managers to plan timely delivery of order books
- Process sales orders, telephone enquiries and correspondence with specified time limits (KPI’s).
- Undertake any other reasonable activity as required by Senior Management
Skills and Experience:
- Good standard of education (Grades B/C)
- A team player with a desire to help
- Experience of sales / customer service environment
- Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships
- Extremely organised, pro-active planning / time management skills
- Able to make appropriate decisions using own initiative in a time pressured environment
- Ability to contribute to a harmonious team environment
- Enthusiastic, positive persona with an approachable manner
- Ability to work under pressure, within closely managed targets and deadlines
