Job description
As our Accounts Administrator you will primarily focus on providing support to the financial planning and analysis function. You will be playing an important role in accurate data entry and use your expertise to support the operations of the finance team.
You will report to the Financial Controller supporting work undertaken for the General Manager and Group CFO.
As our Accounts Administrator, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Direct responsibility for the Purchase Ledger, which includes posting all purchase invoices to either goods received notes or servicing invoices.
- Supporting the administration of the sales ledger, credit control and general accounts administration, covering colleagues holidays.
- Reconciling supplier statements and identify discrepancies and requesting copies.
- Support the creation of the weekly payment run
- Processing of all sales credit notes, including price queries, shortages, damages, returns and faulty goods
- Allocate Amazon remittances, reviewing all returns, prep charges, rebates etc.
- Process payments received to the relevant customer accounts and allocate accordingly.
- Providing financial administrative support to all departments.
- Suggesting changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.
- Support daily bank reconciliations, covering colleagues holidays.
- Support the financial controller with ad-hoc month end processes.
SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE:
Essential:
- Ability to demonstrate financial work experience (minimum 2 years)
- Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail
- Excellent MS Office skills (i.e. Excel)
- Team player
- Flexible, and willing to work in the constantly changing environment of a growing business
- Proactive, Conscientious, ability to prioritise under deadlines and accountable
Desirable:
- Experience of DeFacto/Sage/SAP or other accounting packages
