Administrator
Location – Hythe, Kent
Salary – £22,000 to £24,000 per annum
Do you have a great eye for detail with strong numerical and analytical skills?
We have a great opportunity in Hythe for an Assistant Accountant to work for one of our clients. In this role you will be working full-time, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Responsibilities
· Produce a daily sales report and send it to all relevant employees
· Check and ensure all ledger account postings have been made appropriately
· Prepare any ad-hoc sales reports required
· Calculate sales commissions monthly
· Prepare an analysis of sales margins daily
· Distribute a budget pack for each department monthly
· Post journals for the month-end accounts including accruals and prepayments
· Assist in preparing the management accounts and other administration tasks
· Provide holiday cover for the finance department
· Assist in collating data required for the yearly forecasts
· Assist in providing information for the yearly external audit
· Maintain a register of IT assets and dispense IT equipment for new starters
· Provide internal IT support and liaise with external IT support companies when required
· Cycle counts
· External training (e.g., AAT/ACCA/CIMA)
· Other duties as deemed reasonable
Skills and Experience
· Previous experience working in a similar role is required
· Competent IT skills particularly with Microsoft Excel
· Organised
· High level of accuracy
· Analytical thinking
· Strong communication skills
