Overview Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) was created by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 2001 in order to serve as the Host Broadcasting organisation for all Olympic Games, Olympic Winter Games and Youth Olympic Games. The Host Broadcaster is responsible for delivering the pictures and sounds of the Olympic Games to billions of viewers around the world. For more information visit www.obs.tv Description The Accommodation Coordinator will assist the Games Services Manager and other Accommodations Coordinators in the implementation and supervision of the Accommodations operational plan in the Host City during the Paris 2024 Olympics. Duties Understand and assist with the implementation of the OBS’s Accommodations operational plan; Supervise that OBS Nonlocal and Semi Local personnel are receiving the guaranteed services at each of the OBS host city accommodations; Liaise with OBS assigned properties workforce on site for any problems that may arise at the properties and/or services; Assist on-site with the check-in and check-out of OBS personnel groups during arrival and departure operations in the OBS assigned properties; Able to perform both written and oral translations if required Supervise the room allocation process, in each property, ensuring that OBS contracted properties will respect both room quantities and types; Read, understand, extract necessary information from OBS software database (GRPS): rooming lists, allocations, hotels information. Manage and update excel sheets with relevant area and accommodations information, produce fact sheets Preparation of all documents in relation to the Accommodation plan (check IN-OUT schedules, meeting specifications, expense reports, daily schedules, rooming list etc); Must be able to conduct conversations with OCOG, and vendors field Representatives on a variety of subjects related to Accommodations when required by the Manager or Coordinators; Conduct surveys and monitoring of accommodations according to predefined schedules; Must be able to interface, and be sensitive to people from a global perspective, solve problems when needed; Experience 2-3 years experience in a related field. Familiarity with event organization and /or hotel event planning, reservations or management is an added asset; Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and overall application software or databases; Excellent command of the English and French Language; additional knowledge of another foreign language (i.e. Chinese/Mandarin, German, Italian) will be an asset; They shall be able to professionally undertake the duties reasonably requested by OBS as is necessary to complete OBS’ assignments as detailed in the OBS order and job description; Ability to work well under pressure and demanding working schedule; Must be highly self-motivated and able to work independently; Good communicator and able to establish productive relationships with people at all levels; Have a positive and adaptable approach to problem solving; Must be flexible with changes from within and outside the department; Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency; Knowledge of the Local French hospitality sector is a plus. Workplace & Environment Fast paced work environment; Indoor and/our outdoor sports venues; Full time shift work including evenings and weekends; Subject to national/international criminal background checks; These are approximately 3-5-months long positions that commence either in May or June and end in August or September 2024.
