Here within our Initial Accommodation and Support Services Contract, an opportunity has arisen for two experienced Operations Managers with strong interpersonal skills. The job roles will be based in a group of guesthouses/hotel in the Co. Down area and in Belfast. Travel between sites will be required.
We provide temporary Initial accommodation to asylum seekers, both adults and children. The role holder will act as point of contact for the service users, staff and ensure the safe and efficient running of the temporary accommodation schemes.
Your role as Manager will be key in the day to day running of our supported accommodation. Your priority will be the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our accommodation, hotel staff and permitted visitors to the site.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in a Hotel and or hospitality setting at supervisor or management level
- Fluent in English and a second language is highly desirable
- Ability to work on own initiative and make responsive decisions
- Foster a friendly team environment whilst ensuring adherence to processes and procedures
- Be confident in the use of Microsoft office & proficient in the use of IT systems
- Be empathetic towards others whilst maintaining professional boundaries at all times
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the smooth running of accommodation facilities, including the safety and well-being of the Service Users, staff and visitors
- Develop and build positive relationships with Service Users
- Answer emails and telephone calls in a professional manner
- Manage stock levels of cleaning and communal food items and order supplies.
- Liaise with other departments within the business.
- Arrange repairs and maintenance of the facilities.
- Inspect the accommodation to ensure that hygiene and health and safety regulations are met.
- Ensure a high level of cleanliness throughout the building.
- Log all incidents to make sure we have an accurate record of events.
- Ensure that fire regulations are adhered
- Monitor Health & Safety of the premises and log all issues at that arise.
- Compile daily reports as per In-House processes & those as requested by Directors
- Managing recruitment and on-boarding of all new and temporary staff
- Manage communications with security and night staff
- Respond to emergencies and take appropriate actions
Job Type: Full -time (hours flexible)
35-40 per week
Schedule: Rotational basis over 7 days
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Private accommodation off site available in package for successful candidate should they need to relocate

Salary: £28,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
