Accommodation and Support Worker (GOQ Christian)

YMCA Bournemouth has 114 hostel and move on spaces in Bournemouth and Poole. We are recruiting for a Accommodation and Support Worker to join the team. A relevant qualification would be desirable, as would experience working in a supported housing setting or with homelessness. Experience with clients with mental health or drug and alcohol issues would also be a distinct advantage although full training would be given to the right candidate.
The postholder will hold a portfolio of key work clients working on a one to one basis to offer support and housing management – they will also be given the opportunity to facilitate some support groups and workshops. Full training and support is in place to enable the postholder to develop their skills. Genuine occupational qualification to be a practicing Christian.
The available vacancy is 40 hours per week. This post involves working some late shifts, bank holidays and some weekends.
Salary : £21,673.60 per annum.

The role has a statutory, occupational requirement to ensure the safety and welfare of all children, young people and adults at risk they may come across using our services. The post holder will take responsibility for ensuring safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk as a priority and follow both YMCA safeguarding policy and Pan Dorset statutory guidance.
