Job description
To support and enhance the psychological care of clients within Barnet CAMHS. To assist service user participation and clinically related administration, conduct of audits and QI projects, collection of statistics in line with the requirements of Barnet CAMHS and the CYP-IAPT data set and service requirements. Report writing and presentation of reports to Key Stakeholders.
Additional tasks to include carrying out observations of children and young people with mental health conditions and neurodevelopmental difficulties. Providing brief/low intensity psychological assessment and psychological interventions under the supervision of a consultant clinical psychologist, working independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified clinical psychologist and within the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures. Supporting groups supervised by the clinical psychologist or other team members.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working as part of Barnet CAMHS to improve the experience of Children & Young People presenting in mental health crisis.
1. To facilitate service user participation within the Quality Improvement project, alongside the project leads, including recruitment, engagement of young people and families.
2. To collate, analyse and present outcome data connected to the Barnet CAMHS.
3. Potential to offer psychological support to an identified service user/s under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychological or equivalent practitioner.
Communication
1. To maintain high standards of clinical record keeping including electronic data entry and recording, report writing in accordance with professional codes of practice of the BPS and Trust policies and procedures.
