Toyota Training Academy has an exciting opportunity for an Academy Team Manager (Automotive) to join their team based in both Burnaston and Burgh Heath. You will join a full time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours a week and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £60,000 per annum, plus benefits.

About the role:
We're looking for an Academy Team Manager to effectively lead and manage training delivery operation that meets Toyota Academy objectives and achieves KPI targets. You'll oversee the management of the team of trainers, and Academy Support Team ensuring high-performance standards and personal development.
Responsibilities of our Academy Team Manager role include:
- Line management of Academy training team to ensure consistent, effective and professional delivery of all Academy training courses, in addition to the line management of the Academy Support Team, ensuring personal development processes are in place and effective.
- Promote a collaborative relationship between Burnaston and Burgh Heath teams
- Take responsibility for ensuring that the training team adhere to stated working practices and protocols
- Oversee course scheduling ensuring that planning of training courses meets expected and predicted demands, and ensures the Network management teams can achieve licencing status requirements in a timely fashion
- Maintain accurate records of flex trainer utilisation including course delivery dates, and ensuring trainers meet the required levels
- Ensuring that all direct reports have active personal development plans, providing regular coaching, one to one’s, support and feedback to ensure that the teams are motivated, continually developed and consistently perform to a high standard
- Ensure consistency in approach through observations, utilisation of effective feedback mechanisms, regular meetings and encouragement of sharing ideas and good practice
- Attend stakeholder meetings and relevant external events to stay up to date with new developments – to aid and inform future design process and content
- Take the lead on special projects as required by the Network Skills Manager
- Escalate any issues as appropriate and provide regular progress reports as per the reporting mechanisms provided
- Plan, organise and deliver a regular meeting process with Academy trainers for updating/sharing best practice
- Developing quarterly scheduling planning processes for the sign off training calendar
