Rushey Mead Academy is an outstanding, thriving, diverse and happy school in Leicester with a long history of success. We are part of The Mead Educational Trust (TMET), a family of 13 schools in Leicestershire. We are committed to providing an outstanding education to all our students, and we are looking for a motivated and experienced professional to join our ‘Rushey Family’ as Academy Manager.

The Academy Manager will play a vital role in the smooth running of the school, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and TMET colleagues to contribute to strategic decision making and planning, so that our vision and values are embedded throughout the school. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, be highly organised, and have excellent communication skills.

The Academy Manager will lead the development and delivery of effective administrative and operational processes and services across the school. Working with relevant Central Team colleagues, this person will uphold robust standards and achieve best value. They will line manage support staff including the Officer Manager, Exams Officer, Data Manager, Site Manager, and HR and Finance administrators.

The successful candidate will be able to organise their own workload in a methodical, efficient, and logical manner, deploying members of the team strategically to different tasks, whilst creating an environment that contributes to outstanding provision for students.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS Disclosure check.
