Job description

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Academic Programmes Assistant to join the Nuffield Department of Medicine, where you will provide support for postgraduate research students. This is an important role in supporting the administrative aspects of the NDM academic activities.
You will be responsible for GSO form administration including co-ordination of relevant signatures, inviting assessors for transfer and confirmation of status, submission to divisional graduate studies office and responding to student enquires about milestones. You will provide support to the Postgraduate Research (PGR) Programme Officer with on-course student progression, and provide general administrative support to PGR and Postgraduate taught (PGT) teams which will include support during peak periods for assessments, placements, admissions, resourcing, timetabling, finance and assisting with organising induction week and other events.
It is essential that you are educated to GCSE level, or equivalent, and have previous administrative experience and/or proven administrative skills. Having an excellent Microsoft Office and database skills is essential, and you will have excellent organisation skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team. You will have high personal work standards, with excellent accuracy and attention to detail, and you will be able to collect, collate, store and disseminate information in a GDPR-complaint manner.
