Full Time Manchester, England 28762 - 33314 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

This is a fixed term role as an Academic Development coordinator within the Faculty Teaching and Learning Team. You will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating and administering all the Faculty’s core training programmes for academic staff including the New Academics and Fellows Programme (NAP), Pedagogy Development Programme (PDP), Greater Manchester Leadership in Education Awards Programme (GM LEAP) including timetabling and other work streams.

You will have independent responsibility for ensuring that all aspects of the programmes are fully managed, courses are timetabled and processes are streamlined to meet the required deadlines. A crucial aspect of the role is to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the Faculty including academic staff, professional services, internal and external trainers and facilitators. The Academic Development coordinator provides PA support to the Director of CARD and Faculty Academic Lead for NAP, and has line management of the CARD administrative assistant.

You will be expected to show flexibility and adaptability in meeting the developing needs of the department. A proactive and energetic approach is important, as is an ability to establish a good rapport with both programme participants and staff. There is a requirement to demonstrate a high level of customer service and to show initiative in performance of the role.

You need to be able to work independently, use your own initiative, make decisive decisions, manage multiple programmes and have excellent communications skills, particularly written. Strong MS365 skills including Teams and databases would be desirable.

As an equal opportunities employer we welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of age, sex, gender (or gender identity), ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation and transgender status. All appointments are made on merit.
