Summary of the role

We are looking to recruit a 0.5 Academic Developer to support training and development for Academic Personal Tutors.

At Exeter every student has an Academic Personal Tutor allocated to them, and most of our academic members of staff take on the role of Academic Personal Tutor to a group of students within their disciplinary area. The Academic Development team supports tutors with training, resources and advice. We chair the Senior Tutor Forum, run workshops, face to face and online and design and deliver bespoke sessions on request. We design and curate a vast bank of support tailored specifically to our local requirements. In addition we are involved in tutoring conversations nationally and internationally through our involvement with UKAT and by ensuring our work is grounded in the literature around student support.
