Following the Trusts announcement –Solihull is opening a new Minor Injuries unit Urgent Treatment Centre from Summer 2023. As the Trust responds to the community’s needs, we now to recruit a team to support the delivery of first class care to our patients across Birmingham and Solihull

Working on the front door of a minor injuries department Urgent Treatment Centre is not for everyone - its pressured, demanding and comes with challenging behaviours as people are often scared or injured. As the first person are patients often see, you will be accountable for booking patients into the unit – taking detailed notes of their injuries and directing them in their pathway to treatment. With that you will have excellent communications skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. As a key member of this team, you will see a varied workload, which can be challenging – however being able to multitask in an efficient manner whilst maintaining a caring and helpful attitude underpins everything you do - to make a difference to your team and the patients that rely on us to care for them.

It is therefore essential that our staff are equipped and able to provide care and support to all those requiring it. To be effective in this role you will have embrace our values of being KIND to our patients, relatives and colleagues. You will CONNECT by listening and responding. You will be BOLD in your delivery of customer services.

Sadly, as the department operates 24 hours a day we cannot offer any flexibility to the hours. Therefore you must be able to commit to all shifts patterns. The Urgent Treatment Centre is operated between 0800am and 22:00pm, 7 days a week this includes weekends and bank holiday. Unfortunately due to service needs we cannot offer any flexibility to the hours as they are part of a set shift pattern. Therefore you must be able to commit to both shift patterns of 0800am – 1600pm and 1600pm – 2200pm

In return you can expect to join one of Birmingham’s largest employers, who values its colleagues and puts care at the centre of everything we do. In addition you will receive a pro-rated salary of £20,270 with shift enhancements when you working lates, nights and weekends and bank holiday.
