Based from our Peterborough office, you will be looking after Projects around the UK and Europe and leading a team to help in the delivery.
Your role will be to ensure the safe, efficient delivery of our outsourced temporary water treatment projects.
This role will focus on the more complex rental water treatment projects in our portfolio.
You will be based in Peterborough, UK with a degree of hybrid working and up to 20% travel within the UK and EU.
Main Responsibilities:
- Safety! Safety! Safety! Leading and demonstrating a safe working practice across your Projects.
- Lead projects around our outsourced / rental water treatment contracts.
- Be there from day one – from the moment we receive a customer’s purchase order to the day we complete commissioning and handover to the customer, you will be the person in the know; the one everyone turns to for guidance, and decision making.
- You will ensure what the customer wants and what we can deliver works for everyone – and ensure the team are capable at every step of the delivery.
- You’ll manage in-house relationships around our friendly and co-operative teams; working with your colleagues across Production, Logistics et al. You’ll be the one saying ‘all is understood, and the plans are in place to make this happen on time’.
- Customers will be looking to you for updates and you’ll be ensuring that a clear and open communication is taking place.
- You’ll be working with our current procedures – and tweaking them to suit, maybe coming up with entirely new ideas to get your projects delivered.
- Budget and costings will be your thing too! There’s lots of collaboration across the wider company to keep the project on budget.
- Your management and leadership skills will ensure your team are all up to speed and able to work through the complex stages needed, and that they are all happening at the right time.
- You’ll align with our Global and Europe CoE teams to identify new best practices and constantly work on our continual improvement agenda.
- You will be our Ambassador when it comes to our values and behaviours, and any legislation we need to adhere to.
Qualifications and Experience preferred:
- Relevant Engineering, or Business degree – or time-served in the industry.
- Ideally, 3 or more years in service or project management.
- A knowledge of industrial water treatment is preferred.
Skills required to do this role:
- Excellent English (verbal/ written), other European languages would be an advantage, but not a deal breaker.
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely with multiple stakeholders and at all levels in the organisation
- Good leadership and management skills.
- Structured approach to problem-solving
- Experience in Six Sigma &/or LEAN philosophy & tools would help you along the way.
