Job description

John Lewis & Partners are working in cooperation with Recruitment Solutions to find 7.5-ton Customer Delivery Drivers to represent the brand delivering, assembling, and installing a wide range of high-quality home furnishings, electrical products, and sports equipment around the country to their valued customers.

These roles are based on a 41-hour week.

Customer Delivery Drivers work on a rota basis of 4 out of 6 days Mondays to Saturdays. This means you will enjoy 3 days off each week. There is also the opportunity for overtime and additional hours. You will be working as part of a 2-person crew with a Drivers Mate to help deliver the products.

These permanent 7.5-ton driver roles and they will receive £27,500 per year which will be paid on a weekly basis. This works out at £12.90 per hour.

Alongside excellent rates of pay, as a Partner in the John Lewis Partnership you will receive discounts on John Lewis and Partnership and Waitrose & Partners items. You will also receive discounted cinema tickets and discount to restaurants and bars.

For these roles the required qualifications are

· A valid C1 Driving Licence (due to insurance purposes with a maximum of 6 points)

· Valid CPC – Drivers Certificate of Professional Competence

· Valid Digi card

· Previous experience of driving 7.5-ton vehicles

· Excellent verbal communications skills both in person and face to face

As part of the interview process you will take part in a compliance test, Driving Assessment. Successful candidates will also go through a DBS or Criminal records check.

John Lewis Partnership also offer a defined contribution pension scheme and Life Assurance.

You will also receive 4.5 weeks paid holiday a year which will increase with length of service.
